Notice of “The 79th (Autumn 2025) Conference of the Remote Sensing Society of Japan”

The 79th (autumn 2025) conference of the Remote Sensing Society of Japan (RSSJ) will take place in person (on-site only), as indicated below. This page will be updated with new information as it becomes available.

3. Call for Presentations and Participant Registration

Registration is required to attend this conference. The registration fees are as follows:

– Regular members: 6,000 yen

– Student members: 2,000 yen

– Non-regular members: 8,000 yen 

* Members’ participation fees are not taxable; non-members’ participation fees are taxable.

• Prior to applying for a presentation, presenters must register and pay to participate. The participant registration number must be entered during the presentation application procedure.
• The participation fees of regular members and student members are applied for members of the Transdisciplinary Federation Science and Technology (TRAFST), the Korean Society of Remote Sensing (KSRS), and the Chinese Taipei Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (CSPRS).

• Payment can be made by using a credit card or a bank transfer. Payment via invoice is not available.
• You will be requested at the venue to show the QR code, which is issued in the Payvent system, so make sure to print it out or keep the digital copy handy.

4. Application for Presentation

• The deadline for participation registration and paper submission for the proceeding is Tuesday, 30^th of September, 2025.
• No changes and replacements can be made to the manuscript after the deadline of September 30.
• After registering participation and paying the registration fee, please complete “(1) Registration for presentation” from the link below. Then, using the ID issued in the presentation registration and the email address you registered, please submit your conference paper via the link “(3) Paper submission”.
• The presentation style can be selected from “Oral”, “Poster” or “no preference”.
• Please note that we might not be able to provide the presentation style you have selected.
• Please be aware that it may not be possible to give the presentation style you have specified.
• Only RSSJ members are permitted to make a presentation. If you are not a member, please complete the RSSJ online membership registration <　http://www.rssj.or.jp/admission/　>  before applying for your presentation. The presenters in special sessions, invited speakers, and KSRS and CSPRS members, however, have the right to talk without being members of RSSJ.

< Paper format >

• The conference paper must be in Word or PDF format. 
• Please prepare your manuscript in either two or four pages. (no page charge).
• Kindly download the Microsoft Word template to prepare your manuscript and refer to the paper layout.

• Save your manuscript according to file naming rules mentioned below:

<Microsoft word> FamilynameFirstname.doc(x) (ex. TokyoJames.docx)

<Multi-paper submission> FamilynameFirstname-number.xxx (ex. TokyoJames-1.docx, TokyoJames-2.pdf)

• It is necessary to convert to the PDF with embedded fonts because using a word processor other than Microsoft Word or the Mac version of Word could ruin the original layout.

5. Call for Special Session

The 79th Conference of RSSJ will be able to hold some special sessions based on proposals from RSSJ members. If you wish to hold a special session, please contact to rssj_conf “at” rssj.or.jp by 19 September 2025 (23:59 JST). Please note that we may not be able to accommodate to your requests due to program considerations.

6. Social Gathering / Banquet

There will be a social gathering / banquet on the first day of the conference.

Fees: 

– 7,000 yen for adults

– 2,000 yen for students
