The 76th (Spring 2024) Conference of the Remote Sensing Society of Japan

The 76th Conference of the Remote Sensing Society of Japan (RSSJ) will be held as below. The details will be updated appropriately.

Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC),
Yokohama Institute for Earth Sciences (Yokohama city, Kanagawa Prefecture)

3. Presentation style

< Oral presentation >

  • Oral presentations will be held both on-site and online. Please select on-site or online presentation.
  • The total of 15 min. for an oral presentation including discussion.
  • For on-site presentation, OHP and slides will not be available on site.

< Poster presentation >

  • Poster presentations will be held both on-site and online. Please select on-site or online presentation.
  • For on-site presentation, please prepare posters in A0 size (portrait orientation)as a guide.
  • Please display your poster by the time of the poster session.
  • During your core time, you should stand by your poster and present it.

4. Registration

  • Registration is required to attend this conference.
  • Those who plan to make a presentation should apply for presentation after registration and payment of registration fee by the deadline shown in “5. Application for Presentation”.
  • A link to the registration page is as follows.
  • The registration fee is 5000 yen for regular members, 2000 yen for student members, and 7000 yen for non-members. Pricing is the same for both on-site and online participation.
  • KSRS members and CSPRS members pay the same price as RSSJ members.
  • For participation only, please register and pay by 20 May, 2024 (23:59 JST).

※Attention

  • If you choose to participate on-site, please be sure to print out or copy and save the QR code issued by payment system ‘Payvent’. When you enter to JAMSTEC, you must present it to the security guard. The QR code must also be presented when re-entering the venue. If you lose the QR code, you will not be able to enter JAMSTEC under any circumstances.
  • If you lose the QR code, we will not be able to reissue.
  • If you arrive at JAMSTEC without registration, you will not be allowed to enter. If you wish to participate on-site, please be sure to register during the registration period and obtain the QR code.
  • If you have registered for on-site participation and wish to change to online participation on the day of the event, you may do so. We will contact you with the connection address, so please participate online. Switching the presentation format will not be accepted.
  • If you have registered for “Online Participation” and wish to change to “On-site Participation” at short notice on the day of the event, we will not be able to accommodate your request. Please participate online.

5. Application for Presentation

< Paper format >

  • Manuscript of Microsoft word or PDF file is accepted. you can refer the template of the paper and download the template of the paper.
    • Paper layout (PDF) is here.
    • Paper layout (MS WORD) is here.
  • Save the file name of manuscript as follows;
    • Microsoft word file: FamilyNameFistName.doc(x) (f.e. TokyoJames.docx)
    • PDF File: FamilyNameFistName.pdf (f.e. TokyoJames.pdf)
    • Multi-paper submission: FamilyNameFirstName-n.xxx (n=1,2, ・・・, xxx = doc(x) or pdf)
  • If you use the Macintosh OS and Microsoft word, please convert the file type to PDF to avoid the corruption of the layout of figures and tables.
  • Manuscript is either 2 pages or 4 pages (no page charge).

6. Call for Special Session:

The 76th Conference of RSSJ will hold some special sessions based on proposals from RSSJ members.
If you wish to hold a special session, please contact to rssj_conf “at” rssj.or.jp by 29 March, 2024 (23:59 JST).
Please note that we may not be able to respond to all requests due to program organization.
